Exciting Sights and Animals
The park is home to Mount Meru, one of Tanzania’s highest mountains, as well as the deep Ngurdoto Crater and the peaceful Momela Lakes. As you explore, keep an eye out for the black-and-white colobus monkeys that swing from tree to tree – they’re special to this area and exciting to see!
Arusha National Park has lots of animals, like buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and warthogs. You might even see some shy animals like red forest duikers and vervet monkeys. Sometimes, if you're lucky and visiting in the early morning or late evening, you may spot a leopard or a spotted hyena.
